Why Saturn Can Be One Of Our Greatest Teachers
As we enter a huge collective shift next week, with Saturn moving into Aries after nearly three years in Pisces, I feel it’s important to also speak about the challenges associated with Saturn, adding to the information I’ve shared in my most recent blogs, focusing on the support Saturn can offer. This seems especially important when it’s heading into a go-getting and naturally impulsive and courageous fire sign, such as Aries; because Saturn wants structure, and discipline alongside the bravery.
I’m also highlighting this because with both my venus and moon placements in Pisces within my chart, the last few years have deeply shown me at my core how Saturn can feel incredibly restrictive. If you understand which planets are where, in which house, star sign, degree and aspects, this will help you determine which areas of your life you will feel this particular planetary shift moving into Aries– also known as a transit. In turn, it allows you to be more aware that if Saturn comes into a certain placement, it will bring its restrictions to challenge and re evaluate your thoughts, but with all good intentions, although it certainly wont feel like it.
When restriction enters our lives—especially for those who are heavy in cardinal energy (go-getting, ambitious, natural leaders, entrepreneurial spirits)—it can send us into a frenzy. We’re almost forced to go against our innate drive to simply move forward. But of course, it has a purpose.
Having moved through my own long-standing, bizarre, and at times almost unbelievable restrictions, I truly believe the biggest storms are reserved for those who are ready to dive deep into the soul—and not rely solely on external factors for comfort. And to be clear, I’m not against material enjoyment at all; it only becomes problematic when it’s the only source of satisfaction, fulfilment and direction for answers.
The Polarities Of Saturns Influence
So here are some of the polarities of Saturn:
• Saturn shows up as discipline, but it also blocks options that don’t serve us—sometimes those rooted in vice we may hold—often before we even realise why or maybe even aware of what that is.
• Saturn is dependable, yet it can be so linear that it struggles to see broader, more expansive and collective ideas.
• Saturn wants structure, but that structure can limit creative exploration and experimentation. Not fun or easy for signs and planets that want to predominantly move and expand – Sagittarius, Aries, Leo, Mars, mercury for instance.
• Saturn wants a plan, and a backup plan, and doesn’t rely on luck or charm to get by. Very hard for those with strong Jupiter, Sagittarius, Pisces, Neptune who are used to relying on luck and charm being on their side.
• Saturn makes you face the truth and doesn’t allow sugar-coating as a survival strategy. Which Geminis can have a tendency to do.
• As an earth-ruled planet, Saturn will return again and again if your head is in the clouds and your feet are not rooted in reality. Not so easy for Pisces moons and venus, and 9th house Neptune placements.
• Saturn teaches patience, yet can feel painfully slow when we’re being asked to trust divine timing rather than force outcomes. Not comforting for those who rely on there present actions, impulse and instinct– Aries, Sagittarius, Pisces.
• Saturn offers mastery through repetition, but can feel monotonous or joyless when we resist the lesson it’s asking us to commit to.
• Saturn builds long-term security, yet often removes short-term comfort to show us what truly sustains us. Not fun for dopamine junkies that can be found in the cardinal signs.
• Saturn strengthens self-authority, but can initially feel like isolation—until we realise we’re being trained to rely on ourselves. A bit tragic for those that love company.
How To Navigate Lessons From Saturn
One big confliction within humans that comes up time and time again, is the fact of surrendering to what is in a world where we have been made to believe we have choice.
But yet, I’ve realised more and more to trust the art of surrender to what is happening. Not because I believe my life is planned out for me and nor do I believe that astrology is a blueprint, but because we all have our unique talents and skills and services that we can offer the world, and sometimes we just get distracted. Distracted by what others want us to do, what we feel most comfortable doing, being draw to dopamine highs and need for external validation’s, for instance.
Astrology - The Teacher At Hand
With Astrology there is a teacher at hand; an intrinsic calendar of factual cosmic movements and collected evidence of the planets whereabouts at out exact time of birth. So if we combine the two, we are able to understand who we are energetically and how it manifests into our physical, mental and emotional make up.
When we put this dynamic side by side with the planetary transits (movements of the planets), especially looking at upcoming movements like Saturn in Aries (having been in Pisces), we can clearly see how we will be individually effected.
So no, i'm not being physic when I do my readings, even if i do see things instinctively in the chart.
And yes, I can do all the calculations and analysis for you, so you don't have to rely on the conflicting and validating information offered by ChatGPT.
Oh and a reminder, a £222.00 astrology reading given over 2 hours, is something you get to keep forever and return to at any given time.
So, dont wait for Saturn in Aries to effect you!
Know what it means, know how to manage the restrictions and how use it to your advantage before the 13th February 2026!!!
